"I love becoming a valued part of people’s lives.
Quite simply, the way we look impacts significantly on the way we function in the world and as a Hairdresser I can positively influence the way you feel about you.
That matters"

Hi, I’m Sam, owner and founder of Trigg Hair Studio. I’ve been taking care of people just like you for over 28 years and absolutely love what I do.

I started in the hair industry when I moved to Australia from New Zealand in 1992 and spent 15 years working in Sydney, a further 2  years in Adelaide and then I moved across the country to Perth, where I’ve been working for over a decade.

The majority of my time has been spent working in boutique, intimate smaller salons where I get to really work closely with my guests. Taking a personal approach with every individual I meet is a priority to me.  I take care of you from beginning to end. Often people forget about all the steps involved in great hair, but I approach each and every one with the same commitment and service.

From the time you first make contact with me to book an appointment, through to the greeting when you arrive, personalised consult to listen to what you want and need through to the wash, cut, colour, blow dry and finish, as well as providing product advice – you are the focus.

"Meeting people, hearing your stories, connecting with you and making you look good.
That is what's important to me.
I love the opportunity to build long term relationships with people and respect the window into your life and what matters to you.
Seeing you come into the salon, again and again, is like catching up with friends.
What a way to spend the day!"

During my career I have spent time as a Hair Technician and educator for other hair dressers. This has taught me a better understanding of colour and what can be achieved. It also taught me to talk to people about colour and also how to train my amazing team. I thoroughly enjoyed going into salon’s and seeing how others do things as this gave me greater insights into the industry from both behind the chair and in it.

I love to both learn and teach and getting out into the world and connecting with others in my industry gave me to chance to learn, grow, discover new ideas and to bring that inspiration back to the way I work with my salon guests and train my team. I’m proud of this experience and know it gives you confidence and assurance you’re in the best hands when it comes to you having the cut and colour that works best for you.

When I’m not taking care of you in the salon I have a busy life and enjoy spending my down time cooking, discovering new recipes, eating out, gardening and spending precious time with my adorable dog Ruby and my husband Clinton. I have also really enjoyed learning about business and ways to grow it.

I love a good adventure and camped the entire way from Sydney to Perth around the coast. This adventure took me about 3 months in total. I stayed in tiny towns for 3-4 days at a time, first in a big tent with a friend and then in a swag for the final bit. Its an amazing way to see this magnificent country of ours. Now all I need to do to complete the trip is head north and do the top part and connect back up to Sydney. One day!
